(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS Marching Mustangs received straight superiors at their Music Performance Assessment (MPA).
The regional competitions and MPA, hosted by the Florida Marching Band Coalition (FMBC) and Florida Bandmasters Association (FBA) respectively, are opportunities for the band to exhibit exemplary musical and visual performance further motivated by awards in a variety of captions.
LRHS Marching Band and Performing Arts Director John Schindler said, “I’m excited for them, they worked really hard, and they deserve that outcome based on all work they put in, in July.”
Sophomore Alif Patwary said, “I feel like I speak for the entire band when I say I am elated at our results. I know as well as anyone just how tirelessly our band works and our performance at Marching MPA is a clear indicator of this year’s success.”

Patwary continued, “I am very eager for our results as we push through the end of the season. How we do at the upcoming Braden River regional must surpass our performance at MPA, but I am confident in the band and can only hope we get even better.”
The band is now headed to regionals, with more information to come soon.
