Kiarra Leverett – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Wednesday November 2 is an early out for LRHS Mustangs.

This Wednesday school will end at 1:00 P.M. instead of the usual 2:25. Each class will be 35 minutes each.

The early out is called professional development day and is for teachers who will stay after school to engage in professional development.

LRHS Assistant Principal Jeanne Galindo said one professional development offering should be particularly rewarding.

“Speaker Jodie O’Meara (a leader in the field of special education) will be on campus to speak to teachers on how to deal with a wide variety of students,” she said.

The schedule for this early out is –

  • Period 1: 7:30 – 8:05
  • Period 2: 8:10 – 8:45
  • Period 3: 8:50 – 9:25

Some Mustangs are excited about this early out as it will allow them to have more time after school to catch up on homework, hang out with friends, etc.

Senior Grace Kelley said, “I’m excited for this early because it is the first one of this school year and hope there’s more early outs in the future.”
