(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS Marching Mustangs hosted a successful statewide competition on Oct. 22.
The Marching Mustangs invited schools from all over the state to compete on our football field.
The bands spent the day rehearsing throughout campus to perform later in the evening.
Senior drum major Brice Brielmann said, “The competition went very smoothly. It was cool to see other bands perform as well as the progress we have made.”
LRHS band Director John Shindler said, “The highlight of the night for me was our performance, however I will say I do enjoy seeing the other performances from the other bands.”

“I thought our performance went well and improved a lot, it was better than our first competition and football game,” he continued.
Braden River High School won the competition with a piece called “The Lesson we’ve Learned.”
