Christopher Dujardin feels welcome at LRHS

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – “I really enjoy the students, the teachers, and the staff. They are very friendly people and have a great atmosphere,” new social studies teacher Christopher Dujardin said.

Dujardin substituted in several classes at LRHS before finding a full-time spot as a social studies teacher.  

Dujardin has over 20 years of experience teaching in classes such as World History, Physical Education (P.E.), Geography, US History, In School Suspension (ISS), Civics, coaching soccer, etc.  

He taught in Little Rock, Arkansas and in DeSoto County before moving to Bradenton. This is his second time teaching at the school his own kids attend.

“It was and is a blessing to be so close to my children while I am at work,” Dujardin said.

Dujardin explained why he wanted to work at LRHS.

He said, “I wanted to work at an A school. I wanted to be closer to home, meet new people, and make new friends.”

Dujardin “enjoyed reading and history when I was a young child. When I was in high school, I started coaching youth sports and I enjoyed helping people develop their skills.”

Dujardin is optimistic about his teaching career as a Mustang.
