(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Voluntary flu shots will be available for Mustangs starting on Wednesday, Nov. 9 in the school nurse’s office.
The flu shots will be given by medical professionals and are voluntary.
Mustangs received consent forms from their first period teachers. They are also available online on the LRHS website.
Participating Mustang must turn in Consent forms with parents’ or guardian’’ signatures.
Parents can contact the Florida Department of Health in Manatee County to get more information on how their child can receive a flu shot.

LRHS nurse Christine Koch said, “The School District of Manatee County is partnering with Health Hero, which is a private sector making immunizations available regardless of insurance coverage.
“I am thankful for this important health service to our students,” she continued.
