Sienna Zwizinski – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS Marching Mustangs are participating in the 18th Annual Music in Motion Regional Competition at 12:45 p.m. on Oct. 22 on the school football field.

The gates will open at noon, and the event is scheduled to end at 11:30 p.m.

Senior drum major Lindsey Beatenhead said, “Music in motion is a marching band competition that our band hosts every year.”

Band director John Shindler said, “There are a panel of eight judges that judge each band on Music Individual, Music ensemble, Music General Effect (GE,) Visual Individual, Visual Ensemble, Visual GE, Guard and Percussion.

“I’m excited to see all the different band performances, it’s always fun to see other band’s shows. We have bands coming from as far south as Naples,” he continued.

Senior band captain Nate Van Peenan said, “There will be 12 bands from all over Florida. You can get tickets online.”

There will be a concession stand and several food trucks.
