(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS varsity football team lost to the Palmetto High School last Friday.
The final score was 55-17 in favor of the Tigers.
With the Mustangs recent loss to Manatee High School, this is their second consecutive loss.
The team is hoping to come out stronger for their remaining three regular-season games.
Mustang head coach Rashad West said, “As for Friday’s game, we played a decent 24 minutes, unfortunately we didn’t play well for the full 48. You can’t play a good half and expect to beat good teams.”

The team is now 4-3 on the season.
West continued, “Right now the focus is on (St. Petersburg) Gibbs and getting a much-needed win. We are going back to focusing on the things which got us off to a good start.”
The Mustangs will be on the road for their next two games.
The team’s next game will be against the Gibbs Gladiators at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 21 at Gibbs High School.
