LRHS volleyball seniors celebrate with their coaches

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS girls volleyball beat Sarasota High School (SHS) yesterday during the Mustangs’ Senior Night.

The varsity team won 25-15, 25-14, 25-13.

Senior Vanessa Richtford said, “This was a great game for all of us seniors to remember.”

Varsity head coach Jessica Leupold said, “It was a great senior night for the girls, and they all played extremely well. It was a good way to end the regular season play. Now we need to get ready for districts and move forward.”  

Junior Varsity (JV) put on a fight but lost to SHS.

Captain Vaylin Jenson said, “It was a great game to end with playing Sarasota is always fun and eventful, but you can’t win them all.”  

Leupold continued, “The Freshmen and JV teams played well and fought hard during their games.  It has been a good season for them with improvement throughout the year.  The coaches and I are very much looking forward to next year and we have already started planning and preparing.”
