Stephanie Green- Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS girls volleyball lost to Braden River High School (BRHS) yesterday.

The varsity team lost 20-25, 25-18, 10-25, 18-25.

Tonight the Mustangs take on Sarasota High at home.  It’s “Senior Night” for the Mustangs.  The game is scheduled to tip off at 7 p.m.

LRHS head coach Jessica Leupold said, “We’ve been working really hard this last month to be scrappy, play smart, and keep our energy up.  Last night was the scrappiest we’ve ever played and I’m very proud of that.

“Our libero, Sydney, played an amazing game last night. She was all over the court and she kept a positive energy and attitude the entire game,” continued Leupold.

Junior varsity (JV) also lost against BRHS.

Captain Vaylin Jenson said, “I’m really disappointed we lost because we played our hardest and it wasn’t enough but with districts coming up, we will do better.”
