(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS varsity football team lost to the Manatee Hurricanes last Friday.
The final score was 35-23.
The game was initially scheduled for Friday, Sept. 30, but was postponed due to inclement weather.
With the Mustangs coming off two straight wins, this was their first loss since playing Braden River High School.
Senior Brian Areco said, “It was a tough loss, especially since our last two games were so successful.”

The Mustangs will be on the road for their next three games.
“We’re now 4-2 on the season. For next week, we will find areas to improve and come out stronger,” he continued.
The team’s next game will be against the Palmetto Tigers at 7 p.m. on Oct. 14 at Palmetto High School.
