(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Ninety Mustangs donated their blood and a total of 78 units of red blood cells were collected by the LRHS blood drive committee last month.
The committee hosted their first blood drive of the school year on Friday, Sept. 23 in the bus loop.
With those numbers, LRHS can save 234 lives.
LRHS chorus teacher and blood drive adviser Rebekah Lester said, “To the Mustangs who participated in the blood drive, your efforts to share your power in order to save lives is very appreciated.”

President-elect junior Ainsley Ellis said, “This blood drive was so awesome for our first one this year. Many mustangs came out and donated and it was super successful hopefully our next one will be even better.”
The next blood drive is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 1.
