Lucas Viera– Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS varsity football team beat the Lyman Greyhounds 47-28 Friday.

Prior to the game, the Mustangs were given the opportunity to tour the football training facility at the University of Central Florida.

LRHS Head Coach Rashad West said, “Friday was a good win for us over a good Lyman team. The kids came out and started fast and played really well.”

The Mustangs came off a homecoming game win the week prior and displayed consistency versus the Greyhounds.

The Mustangs are now 4-1 on the season.

Despite the two recent wins, the Mustangs will need to prepare for tougher upcoming games.

The team is scheduled to face the Manatee Hurricanes at home at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 30.

Due to the upcoming weather situation, West said, “As for this week, we’ll certainly play it by ear in regard to when we are able to be here and prepare.”
