Savannah Adams – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – On Wednesday LRHS Mustangs dressed up from their favorite decades as part of spirit week.

Mustangs chose their favorite era and dressed as someone from that era.

Some mustangs brought out their inner “cool catwith their 50s outfit.

Junior Madison Adams said, “The clothes from the 50s were a cool style and are comfortable.”

Adams wore a white long sleeve shirt and a long red skirt.

Others decided to bring out their inner disco and dress up in the 70s decade.

Junior Avery Rissler said, “I picked the 70s era because I thought the clothes were super adorable.”

Rissler wore bell-bottom jeans and a striped t-shirt.

Some mustangs thought the 80s era was “totally tubular.”

Senior Tiereny Thornhill said, “I chose the 80s era because that’s when my mom and dad grew up and I pulled a lot of inspiration from their outfits during that time.”

Thornhill dressed up in her dad’s letterman jacket and mom jeans.

Some Mustangs were all about the “bling” in the 90s era.

Junior Karina Lee said, “I picked 1990s because I like the fashion, especially from Tupac, so he was my main inspiration.” She wore an outfit that resembled what Tupac wore in his day.

Some Mustangs were “on fleek” with their 2000s attire.

Senior Olivia Ellis decided to blast into the very past, all the way to the founding fathers. She and her friends dressed up as George Washington.

Ellis said, “My friends and I thought it would be fun to dress up as the first president.”

The LRHS Student Government Association (SGA) invites mustangs to wear their favorite sports jersey on Thurs. Sept. 15.
