(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Homecoming 2022 started Monday and the LRHS class of 2023 gave their thoughts on their last homecoming.
Many seniors plan to attend their last homecoming dance on Sept. 17. The theme is “A Night in Hollywood.”
The class of 2023 have mixed feelings about their last homecoming dance.
Senior Jennifer Shank said, “Its bittersweet knowing it is our last homecoming dance. It is crazy how fast it went by.”
Senior Katie Foley said, “It’s weird that these big events will never happen again, so I think we need to make the most of it and cherish it for what it is.”
Some seniors are sad about the end of their grade school career but are looking forward to the next chapter of their lives.
Senior Hayley Pollard said, “I’m sad because I’ll never get to do it again, but I’m excited for the future.”

It is also common for Mustangs to miss their friends and question what comes next.
Senior John Sirignano said, “I’m going to miss being with all my friends in the same place at the same time. I am really excited to be with the whole student body in one place.”
Senior Sammie King said, “It is sentimental, and I am going to miss seeing everyone dressed up and going to the events before and after.”
