(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS esports hosted a 2022-23 organizational club meeting Wednesday.

At the meeting, esports coach and LRHS reading teacher Kari Keech-Babcock answered questions about the program. She also began the process of implementing leadership positions for the club.

The team decided to stay with the Electronic Gaming Federation (EGF) for their competition organization. They competed with that organization last year.

The games that EGF offers are Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Overwatch 2, Valorant, and Rocket League.

Keech-Babcock said “We had several new faces at the meeting yesterday, so I’m hoping to continue to see that growth and enthusiasm in the next few weeks. It looks like we may have one or two more rocket league teams (total of four or five), an Overwatch team, and a Valorant team plus several additional Super Smash Bro solos.”
