
Alivia Insixiengmay – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS Lakewood Singers club has selected 31 Mustangs to join their after-school choir program for the 2022-2023 school year.
Auditions for the Lakewood Singers club closed on Sept. 6.
LRHS choir director Rebekah Lester said, “I am pleased with the amount of talent at our school. We had an amazing turn out for auditions, and I am excited to hear the music from Lakewood Singers.”
The Lakewood Singers will soon coparticipate in competitions such as the Music Performance Assessments (MPA), and other singing events throughout the year.
Senior choir President Alli Thomas said, “After last year’s phenomenal performance, I am excited for this upcoming year! We have so much planned and with our new group of kids coming in, it’s going to be a great year!”

Senior Vice-President Cory Coyner said, “It is so amazing to see the motivation and passion displayed by these students.”
The Lakewood Singers’ first performance will be at this month’s homecoming dance. The dance will be held at 7 p.m. on Sept. 17 in the LRHS gym.
