(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) –LRHS welcomed new discipline dean David Sheppard for the 2022-2023 school year.

Sheppard oversees discipline for Mustangs with the last names Dum-Leo.

This is Sheppard’s first year at LRHS. He previously has done work all around the county and taught engineering for fifteen years.

Sheppard said, “My favorite part about being a dean is building relationships with students. You get to establish relationships with students throughout the school. As a classroom teacher you only get to know the kids you are teaching, but I get to meet more of them.”

Growing up, Sheppard lived on a farm in Indiana. He now has a six-year-old daughter who will watch him build his career.
