(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Changes are in store for all LRHS clubs in the 2022-2023 school year.

Discipline dean Dave Sheppard and athletic director Kent Ringquist will oversee club administration.  Sheppard will serve as lead administrator.

Mustangs interested in sponsoring their own clubs must submit all ideas to Sheppard or Rinquist.

Additionally, all clubs will be required to submit quarterly club minutes to ensure club integrity.

A minimum of three meetings must be convened every quarter to maintain an active status. Meeting minutes must be submitted by the following dates:

  • Quarter 1: Oct. 6, 2022
  • Quarter 2: Dec. 22, 2022
  • Quarter 3: Jan. 9, 2023
  • Quarter 4: May 26, 2023

Assistant Principal Thomas Bellantoio said, “We’re trying to streamline the club process at LRHS, right now it’s too paper based and archaic, we want information to be more user friendly for parents.”

The deadline for new club registration is Sept. 2. The application for club charter can be found in the LRHS Schoology group page under the “Clubs” folder, or with the link here.
