Stephanie Green – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS girls volleyball teams played a rivalry game against Braden River High School at 7 p.m. on Aug. 30.

The varsity team lost their match 25-18, 25-21, 20-25, 25-20.

Sophomore Hannah Sprungman said, “Even though we lost the rivalry games, they were fun and we tried our best; that’s all that matters. It’s so fun to see all the people who come to support us and their school spirit.”

The junior varsity team won their rivalry match 25-22, 25-19.

Sophomore Tatyana Micheel said, “I was excited, but still kind of nervous because it felt like losing wasn’t an option. As soon as we all started getting hype, we knew we could win.”

The Mustangs’ next game is scheduled for Parrish Community High School on Sept. 1. The freshman team will play at 5 p.m., junior varsity will play at 6 p.m., and the varsity team will play at 7 p.m.
