The LRHS JV volleyball team finished second at a weekend tournament

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS junior varsity volleyball team played their first tournament and placed second overall this past weekend, losing to Venice High School.

Captain Vaylin Jensen explained that she is very happy about their victory.

“Even though we got second place we played our hardest. Venice is a very tough school to beat, but we will be trying our hardest in our next game,” said Jensen.

The varsity Mustangs are scheduled to play Braden River High School Tuesday. The game is a “Black Out” and fans are encouraged to wear black.

Freshman play at 5 p.m., junior varsity play at 6 p.m., and varsity plays at 7 p.m.

Sophomore Jayla Davis said she is excited to face rival Braden River yet again.

“I love rival games more people always come to them, and we get the satisfaction of being the better team and the better school,” explained Davis.
