Heyden Kudelko – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS National Honor Society (NHS) has had an eventful start to the 2022-2023 school year.

NHS is an organization that allows Mustangs to go above and beyond academically and have a stake in the community.

“NHS is a national organization that celebrates students’ commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Our chapter offers teacher help weekly, and volunteer regularly at local schools, communities, and non-profits,” said NHS adviser and English teacher Tracy Gregory

This past summer the chapter got to spend valuable time spreading positive influence in the community, with many summer hours spent volunteering and helping around Manatee County.

Gregory said, “One event was a summer art camp at Lee Middle School. And the week leading up to students’ return, NHS members volunteered to help teachers in their classrooms.”

“All of our members are incredibly involved in the school and local communities. I love seeing what causes they’re passionate about,” continued Gregory.
