(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – As the 2022-2023 school year reaches full speed, LRHS expectations and rules are now being fully enforced.

School officials are focusing especially on tardies the school dress code.

LRHS sssistant principal Thomas Bellantonio said as long as Mustangs follow the school dress code, it will not be necessary for any changes to be made to the policy.

Bellantonio adds getting involved on campus is a great way to stay out of trouble.

“Students that stay focused on their academics and get involved in clubs or athletic programs typically do not find themselves getting into trouble,” he sald.

Along with dress code, another school-wide issue is youth vaping.

Vaping is a prevalent issue amongst teens in general, as it is easy to hide, and it is desirable to students.

“We always encourage students to educate themselves on the harmful effects of making poor choices. The consequences established by the School District of Manatee County are used as a deterrent in hopes of students considering the safety of themselves and others,” said Bellantonio.
