Jacob Smith – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS Cross-country is up and running for the 2022-2023 school year.
Sophomore Samantha Montano said, “I’m super excited to start the new Cross-country season with such a supportive team.”
The team has a new coach, Rae Ann Darling Reed.
“I have high hopes for the new coach, and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us,” continued Montano.
Reed said “I am very excited to begin my first year coaching girls cross country at Lakewood Ranch High School.

“While we are a young team with lots of new faces and a new coach, I feel optimistic about our season because I have already seen some great team bonding even after just a week of practice,” Reed added.
Although it is only Reed’s first year at LRHS, she has 19 years high school coaching experience and encourages girls to join the team.
