Lucas Viera- Mustangs Ahead

 (LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS football team has been preparing for the 2022-2023 season. 

The first pre-season game is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday at Dunedin High School.

The team has been training throughout the summer, practicing Monday through Thursday,

Multiple specialized trainers were invited to assist the program.

Head Coach Rashad West said, “This off-season we trained with our strength and conditioning coach, and we utilized a sprint coach as well. I think we saw significant gains this off-season.”

West also emphasized that the players understand the importance of off-season training.

Senior Brian Areco said, “I’m excited to start a new season and I hope for a successful turnout my final season as a Mustang.”

The first regular season game is scheduled for 7 p.m. Aug. 25 against Lemon Bay High School.
