Mustang swimmers prepare for a new season

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS swim team hosted tryouts for the 2022-2023 swim season on August 8-9.

22 Mustangs made the varsity team, and 15 Mustangs made the junior varsity team.

LRHS head coach Steven Lubrino feels confident with his swimmers.

“The team has a great dynamic and everyone seems like they are ready to compete for another championship season,” said Lubrino.

This is Lubrino’s third year coaching LRHS swim and his seventh-year coaching overall.

Senior captain Nicole Majewski is excited for the upcoming swim season.

Majewski said, “I am thrilled to be one of the captains of the team this year, we seem to have grown from last year and have a lot of new swimmers.”

The team will compete against SSHS, SEHS, and BCS on August 23 at the Lincoln Pool.
