(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Mustangs are back together for the 2022-2023 LRHS school year.

Old friendships are reconnected, new friendships are started, and incoming freshman start their high school careers.

For seniors, this day can be bittersweet as it is their last first day of high school.

Senior Katie Hardesty said, “My first day has been good it’s easy and I leave soon since I have two core classes and two electives, I also have a couple of friends in each of my classes so that’s good.”

For freshman, this day can be very exciting as they start their high school career and start getting college credits.

Freshman Tyler McCoy said, “My first day is going well because I have friends in most of my classes, I also like my teachers so far.”

LRHS discipline dean Jacob Sponsel said, “So far, the day has gone very smooth, and the students know what is expected from them. I believe all staff and students are excited to be back.”
