(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS is hosting a new student orientation for all incoming Mustangs at 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 4 in the school auditorium.

Future Mustangs and their families are encouraged to attend one of the sessions to learn more about LRHS and what to expect for the 2022 – 2023 school year.

LRHS Principal Dustin Dahlquist encourages incoming freshmen, any new LRHS student, and their parents and families to attend. The orientation will cover information about the first day of school, as well as expectations and requirements for the school year.

Dahlquist said, “Families will have the opportunity to get acclimated to our beautiful campus, hear about many of the educational opportunities afforded to them, meet faculty members and administrators, and understand the excitement of being a Mustang.

“Every year, we look forward to sharing with our new students a variety of the aspects which make our school exceptional and special,” continued Dahlquist.

Both sessions will consist of the same information, so it is only necessary to attend one. Schedules will not be distributed at this time.

Incoming freshman Payton Griffan said, “I think this orientation will be great for me and my fellow incoming students to learn more about the upcoming school year and what we should expect.”

Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) board member Rebecca Kelly believes that attending the orientation is an important step in beginning a successful school year at LRHS.

Kelly said, “I believe that it will help reduce some of the stress and anxiety of the first day of school when you already know what to expect.”

The first day of school will be Wednesday, August 10. For more information visit the LRHS website.
