The LRHS Mustangs say the pledge before first pitch

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS varsity softball team is advancing to the regional semifinal.

This week, the Mustangs (26-2) played in the regional quarterfinals against West Orange High School and won 13-3.

The game was finished in five innings due to the 10-run run rule.

Sophomore Grace Shaw-Rockey helped her team tremendously by going 4-4 with four RBIs, and was named “MaxPreps Player of the Game.”

Shaw-Rockey said, “I felt confident at the plate. The energy was high the whole game and my bat fed off that energy all night.

The girls’ next game is scheduled for 7 p.m., May 17 at home against Windermere High School (20-6).
