Olivia Ryan – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Members of the LRHS varsity track team are competing in the state championship competition Saturday.

The event will be in Gainesville, FL at the University of Florida (UF) at the James G. Pressly Stadium, Percy Beard Track.

  • Hailey Marston (800/4×800)
  • Ariana Majano (4×800)
  • Tamlyn Leatt (4×800)
  • Olivia Spiegel (4×800)
  • Sofia Palonen (Pole Vault)

Head coach Kristin Wikstrom said, “The state qualifier group this year is comprised of some of the most hardworking student-athletes our program has ever seen. The consistency, work ethic, and resilience of this group makes them so successful. “

The girls are traveling up on Friday to prepare for the game.

Freshman Olivia Speigel said, “I am looking forward to competing with my team and I hope we can bring back a state title for Lakewood Ranch.”

Junior Tamlyn Leatt said, “I am excited to compete with my teammates at the state championship and run with my Senior friends for the last time.”
