Andrew Deppen – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS Wind ensemble was awarded an overall superior rating at the Florida Bandmasters Association State Concert Music Performance Assessment (MPA) Wednesday in Vero Beach.
This is the first time since 2003 that a concert ensemble from LRHS has earned a superior at State MPAs. LRHS was also the only school from Manatee County to attend the state MPA this year.

Sophomore Connor Wren said, “It was an honor to be the first group in nearly 20 years to get superiors.”
Director of Bands John Schindler added, “This is an outstanding accomplishment and one of the highest recognitions for a concert band.”
