Erin-Elizabeth Purcell – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS girls beach volleyball team won 1A District 21 Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) district tournament yesterday.
The Mustangs beat both Saint Petersburg Christian and Parrish Community, 3-0 to clinch the title.
Beach volleyball is a new sport at LRHS.

Junior Katie Eckstrom said, “I’m glad that LRHS got to have a beach volleyball team this year, and I’m really excited that we were able to win districts the first year being in the program.”
