(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS has many outstanding athletes that also participate in competitive sports outside of school.
Bradenton’s Florida Top Dog is a gym where many Mustangs compete. And Mustangs from the LRHS cheerleading program participated in the Top Dog all-star cheer program.
At a competition in Nashville, they received many first place wins and multiple full-paid invites to their big year-end competition, “Summit.”

“Summit” is a competition that brings teams from across the world to show their incredible skills in routines they have been working on all season.
LRHS sophomore Meredith Beck said, “’Summit’ is a chance to compete with the best of the best and show our hard work. It is the most important competition of the season and is an honor to be invited.”
Freshman Julia Lopez added, “In preparation for the ‘Summit,’ my team has become extremely close, and it’s overall heartwarming to see an already close bond as students become something even more through the sport, we all love so much.”
Summit is scheduled for later this week at ESPN Sports in Orlando.
