(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – As the school year comes to an end, LRHS arts are wrapping up with their final shows.

LRHS Principal Dustin Dahlquist said, “If you want to be further connected to the school, watch students perform at incredibly high levels, or just looking for good entertainment, please come join us in supporting our extracurricular programs.

The LRHS jazz ensemble and smaller jazz combo group will finish the year with their “Night of Jazz” performance held at 7 p.m., tonight in the LRHS auditorium.

Senior Ellie Nauman said, “I am super excited! It’s our last concert of the year so this is our last time to shine, and my last time playing with the jazz band. I am hoping to show off and make my last hurrah a great one.”

This will be the final jazz concert of the school year and will honor the graduating seniors.

The LRHS drama department and orchestra put on their cabaret show, “Seize the Night… It’s Broadway Night!” last Friday.

It was a success, and the show was put together with spectacular singing, dancing, and live music.

Junior Alli Thomas stated, “All I have to say is how proud I am of each and every cast member that was on stage Friday night. The hard hours, long rehearsals, countless run-throughs of choreography, is what made this show truly exceptional! I couldn’t be prouder of this cast and crew!”

Dahlquist commented, “The show was awesomely spectacular with the singing, dancing, and live music. The joy and happiness in the auditorium at the end of the show was palpable. The night marked the anticipated return to normalcy for the theatre at LRHS.”
