(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – As the 2021-2022 school year comes to an end, LRHS seniors are getting ready for graduation.
School officials held a class meeting today to make sure all seniors are aware of the upcoming dates and events.
Senior exams will take place from Monday, May 9 to Thursday, May 12 with Friday, May 13 being a make-up day.
Seniors may be exempt from any exams only if they received an 80 or higher in both third and fourth quarters. Mustangs are not allowed to average their third and fourth quarter grades to be exempt.
In addition, all seniors must turn in all textbooks and have all fines paid by Friday, May 13 to participate in graduation.
During the week of Monday, May 2 to Friday, May 6, a spirit week for seniors will take place.
Senior Isabella Heupel said, “I am excited to have another opportunity to show school spirit one last time.”
Spirit week themes are as follows:
- Monday: College shirt day
- Tuesday: Pink Out
- Wednesday: Star Wars Day or Black Out
- Thursday: Class of 2022 shirts
- Friday: Green Out
At 6 p.m. on Monday, May 2 senior trivia night will be hosted in the LRHS cafeteria. The cost is five dollars per group and groups cannot exceed five people. Pizza and snacks will be provided, and prizes will be given to the top three teams. Seniors can RSVP to LRHS senior class adviser and math teacher Ann Fleury by Friday, April 29 in room 572.

Senior Mallory Lloyd said, “I am looking forward to having another trivia night because the last one went so well.”
At 6 p.m. on Friday, May 6 a senior movie night will be held in the LRHS auditorium. The movie will be the classic “Shrek” and refreshments are available for one dollar. Seniors must RSVP to Fleury by Monday, May 2. A ticket and ID are needed for entrance.
The LRHS annual senior dinner will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11 in the LRHS cafeteria. The cost will be $10 per person and seniors must RSVP to Fleury by Friday, May 6.
Black and white semi-formal dress attire is required, and food from Texas Roadhouse will be served.
Cap and gown, and graduation ticket pick-up will take place at 2:45 – 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18 in the LRHS gymnasium.
Seniors must have all textbooks turned in, fines paid, and senior fees paid by then. Mustangs must bring their “paid slip” in order to pick up their caps and gowns and graduation tickets.
The LRHS graduation ceremony is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday, May 20 at the Bradenton Marauders LeCom Park.
Seniors must be at the park by 6:30 p.m. Parking will be limited, and drop-off information will be given out on May 18.
Girls should wear sundresses with heels or sandals. No spiky heels will be allowed on the field. Boys should wear a polo shirt, dress shorts, and tennis shoes.
