Ryan Hanson- Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- LRHS track and field competed in the Manatee County finals Wednesday, April 13 at Braden River High School, with 13 students at LRHS placing, six students winning county champions.
Here is the list of students who won county championships for individual-
Girls:
- Sofia Palonen (Pole Vault)
- Gracie Marston (1600/3200/4X800)
- Hailey Marston (800, 4X800)
- Emma Brown (4X800)
- Tamlyn Leatt (4X800)
Boys:
- Tony Lenchinsky (Javelin)

Lenchinsky, who competed in and won the javelin throw for the county said, “It felt exhilarating to win my division, I wanted to win because during most of the year I was on top for javelin but during the season my performance started to slip.”
Lenchinsky added that, “during the end of the year I started to train harder and mentally prepare myself for the county championship, I told myself I was going to win, and I did.”
