(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Senior Ally Adamo was named an honorable mention at last week’s 2022 Golden Herald Awards.

The Golden Herald Awards honor outstanding service by Manatee County high school seniors.

Adamo was recognized as a science honoree and won $700 in scholarship money.

To be considered for Golden Herald Awards applicants are required to prove their excellent community service efforts through essay questions and an interview held by important community figures.

“It was a very exciting process to be able to be honored alongside so many other passionate students. It is very rewarding and refreshing to be recognized in such a way that reflects my work,” said Adamo.

Adamo is very involved in the community. She leads numerous LRHS clubs, serves on multiple local committees, and works very closely as a technician and intern with various land and marine animals.
