(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS HOSA (Future Health Professionals) won big at their state competition Monday.
Senior Julia Felice placed first in the state in the category of Cultural Diversities and Disparities.
Felice said, “Taking home a first-place medal felt very rewarding after so much preparation. My favorite part about this past weekend definitely was spending time with my HOSA family.”

This was the first state conference since COVID-19.
HOSA adviser and LRHS science teacher Moriah O’Connor said, “Being these Mustangs’ adviser is super easy, they all take charge so gracefully and I think this past conference went great. All members represented LRHS very well and I am so proud of each and every one of them.”
Felice will go on to represent LRHS at the 2022 HOSA International Leadership Conference in June in Nashville.
