(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The Lakewood Ranch drama program has announced its monologue winners and set date for its upcoming cabaret show.

Three LRHS theatre students had their monologues selected as winners at the Theatrefolk monologue competition, a competition in which thousands of contestants competed.

Senior Ally Adamo, sophomore Ainsley Owens, and freshman Madelyn Davies were chosen as winners for the 2022 competition and will be published in the newest Theatrefolk student collection.

Theatre director Roxane Caravan says, “The students were paid for their work, and the collection is currently in the proofing stages and the collection will be published in August.”

Caravan also announced their upcoming show, stating, “Our very talented cast and incredible live band, under the direction of Maestro Durante, have been working hard on this Cabaret Show which features musical numbers from the 2021-22 Broadway Season.”

The date for the show is set for 7:30 p.m., April 22, in the LRHS auditorium, entry for students is $5 and adults is $10.
