Katie Foley – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS seniors Ava Ebling and Ally Adamo were nominated for the annual Golden Herald Awards.
The Golden Herald Awards honor outstanding Manatee County high school seniors for noble service to their schools and community.
Ebling is nominated in the category of citizenship and Adamo in science.
Adamo said, “I am so grateful for this nomination and what it means for my future. I have been devoted to science throughout high school, and this nomination proves to me that my work has paid off.”

Adamo will be attending the University of Florida honors program to major in zoology (pre-vet). She hopes to become a vet.
Ebling said, “When I saw the nomination, it felt like I was finally noticed for my own hard work and dedication. I’ve always had a passion for helping others and being a respectable leader. If I win the award, it will give me motivation to keep striving for the best.”
Ebling will be attending Clemson University to major in biological sciences. She hopes to work towards a career in the medical field.
Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony which will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 14 at the State College of Florida’s (SCF) Neel Performing Arts Center.
