Prom was Friday at the Hyatt Regency in Sarasota. At prom Mustangs had fun dancing, taking pictures in the photobooth, and eating.
The prom is organized by the LRHS Junior Advisory Board (JAB). JAB adviser and science teacher Tana Phelps said the prom’s success was a collective effort.
“The students all seemed to have enjoy themselves at prom and that would not have been possible without our mustang family,” she said. “Thank you all!”
LRHS Principal Dustin Dahlquist echoed Phelps’ sentiment.
“It was a banner night for the Mustangs,” he said. “We can certainly be sure that the students had so much fun and enjoyment that night. It was fantastic to see and hear the joy and laughter from everyone there. Great teamwork!”

The prom king and queen were also announced with seniors Tobin Santilli and Sydney McCray being crowned.
“I was absolutely stoked, it’s crazy I just moved here and was able to win prom king. I’m still hyped about it and really thankful for everyone who voted for me,” said Santilli.
McCray added, “It was really cool to win, and I had such a good time dancing. Winning just puts the cherry on top of an already great prom.”
Senior Steven Brown said, “Prom was a lot of fun and Junior Advisory Board definitely did a great job planning and setting up.”
