LRHS’s new National Honors Society (NHS) members

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS chapter of National Honors Society (NHS) had their annual induction ceremony on Thursday.

Over 47 new members were inducted with a traditional candle lighting ceremony.

Principal Dustin Dahlquist was the guest speaker for the night and spoke to the inductees and other attendees about how amazing it is to all be together and celebrate together in the auditorium.

Last year’s induction was outside on the football field, and the last formal induction was the spring of 2019.

Dahlquist encouraged the new inductees to be leaders and role models to their peers on campus.

English teacher and NHS adviser Tracy Gregory said, “The new inductees have shown that they are exceptional scholars, leaders, citizens, and servers in their community, and we can expect great things from them during their time in the LRHS chapter.”

Sophomore Ainsley Ellis added, “I am so happy I got chosen for this opportunity to represent my school. I can’t wait to start being active in our community through NHS.”
