Seniors anticipate their first prom

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS will host the first school-sponsored prom since 2019 on Friday, April 8 at the Hyatt Regency in Sarasota.  For many Mustangs, especially seniors, this will be the first and last prom they will attend.

Organized by the LRHS Junior Advisory Board (JAB) “Puttin’ on The Ritz” is the theme of this year’s event.

Senior Presley Long said, “Since this might be the last time all of my friends are together, I am excited to see them and have fun. I was surprised when I heard the theme, so I am curious to see how it is done.  We didn’t have a junior prom, so I am excited to see how it will live up.”

With prom being only two weeks away, many have or are in the process of finding the perfect dress or suit.

Senior Alexa Hymes said, “I tried on over 20 dresses at Charley’s Boutique in Bradenton until I finally found the perfect one. I love the dress I ended up with.”

Senior Kim Barr added, “After being asked to prom by my boyfriend, I am super excited. I also want to see my classmates all fancied-up, as well as myself. I’ve heard incredible things about the prom, so I have high expectations.”

Tickets are currently $90 each and can be purchased here.
