Kaitlyn Harper – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS ceramic classes are participating in the Empty Bowls Event.

According to the event’s website, “Empty Bowls is a grassroots movement by artists and crafts people in cities and towns around the world to raise money for food related charities to care for and feed the hungry in their communities.”

This is the first year LRHS has participated in this event and Mustangs will be creating bowls to donate to the event in their ceramics class. 

LRHS ceramics teacher Laura Victore said, “I am really excited to see Mustangs give back and fight hunger in our own community and raise awareness for hunger in Florida.”

LRHS junior Megan Waldrop added, “I think the project is a great way to help the community and it is very fun to make and design.”
