Mustang electives – Orchestra seeks new blood

With the new school year coming many Mustangs may not know about all the courses LRHS offers. The electives prove Mustangs real world opportunities and teach them engaging and critical life skills.

(Lakewood Ranch, FL)- The LRHS orchestra is looking for new members for the 2022-2023 school year.

The mission of LRHS orchestra is to strive and inspire each Mustang to recognize and achieve his or her maximum potential through academic excellence, personal integrity, and responsible citizenship.

Senior Isabella Eubank said, “It is a place of people of the same interest come together and get to know each other.”

There are four different orchestra levels.

Camerata which is audition only, concert-intermezzo, which is orchestra two to four, symphonic strings which is orchestra one, and chamber players which is instruction techniques one to four.

Senior Matthew Gilkison added, “Orchestra is about practicing until you get the music correct. And finding a niche of people that like the same thing as you.”

Orchestra director Thomas Durante added, “Check out the orchestra we have a lot of fun you should join.”
