Emma Braunstein – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) orienteering team won first place overall on Saturday, Feb. 26 at Oscar Scherer State Park.

Orienteering is a sport that requires teams to use compasses and trails to navigate through wooded trails.  It attracts teams from JROTC teams across the country.

The LRHS yellow team won first place, while the LRHS orange and green teams placed second. 

Senior Matthew Boudreau said, “We did great and everyone gave it their all with most of us placing in every category.”
