Kaitlyn Harper- Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS indoor percussion ensemble has been moved up from the “Scholastic A” to the “Scholastic AA” category after placing first at their most recent competition.

The ensemble performed at the Florida Festival of Color Guards Circuit (FFCC) premiere competition at Cypress Creek HS in Orlando.

LRHS band director John Schindler said the ensemble succeeded on multiple levels.

“Scholastic A is the next class up in difficulty from Scholastic AA and there is a higher expectation of performance quality,” he said.

Percussion member Kyle Sidnam said, “We went there not knowing how we’d do, and we came back with a trophy and a promotion.”
