Jared Baker -Mustangs Ahead        

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS boys soccer team wrapped up their season with a loss to Plant City High School in the regional finals on Wednesday.     

LRHS senior Sam Leavy scored the first goal in the second half and Plant City tied up the game just before the game ended to send it into extra time.

Plant City ended up scoring twice then securing the win.

Head coach Vito Bavaro said, “I am very proud that we never gave up on a very tough game. The season was a great indication of the future, but I am going to miss our seniors. This senior class was a very special group.”

The Mustangs finished with an 18-2-1 record on the season.

They finished first in their district and had a 12-2 record at home and a 4-0-1 record away/neutral.

Senior Joshua McManis added, “The boys had a great season, but we came up just short of it all.”
