Katie Foley – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – As the LRHS class of 2022 gets ready to graduate this spring, senior Mustangs are reminded to stay on top of their deadlines.
At this time, officials say senior Mustangs should be using the LRHS senior planning guide to help them through the process.
The planning guide assists Mustangs with managing graduation requirements, Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) & American College Testing (ACT) scoring, college application process, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities.
Mustangs are reminded that the graduation date will be Friday, May 20 not Friday, June 3 as stated in the senior planning guide.
Seniors are having mixed emotions about graduation.
Senior Sophia Parry said, “I am proud of my personal growth through the year. I have changed as a person drastically and I feel like a better version of myself. One of the biggest things I did to accomplish this self-growth was definitely learning to live in the moment.”
While many of them are making positive transitions towards their next step, they also faced an equal number of challenges.
Senior Reeves Fairey said, “My biggest challenge has been the emotional weight of moving on and becoming an adult.”
Now, seniors pass down advice as they complete their final year.
Senior Ally Adamo said, “For me, I have learned to take every opportunity to go try new things. I would tell juniors to do the same.”
