Mustang orienteers finding success

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) orienteering team won first place at their meet in North Port on Saturday, Feb. 5.

The cadets took home 11 out of the 18 individual medals handed out.

  • Second Place – Vicente Rivera
  • Second Place – Ahmed Osman
  • Second Place – Skye Stephens
  • Second Place – Mudathir Osman
  • Third Place – Juan Knuth-Baez
  • Third Place – Jeanne Tovar
  • Third Place – Faith Miller
  • Third Place – Seraphina Nelson

LRHS JROTC instructor Sgt. William Cassidy said, “If this momentum keeps up, we will be state champions again.”  The Mustangs were state champions in 2019.
