(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS Mustangs for Kids (MFK) is hosting a car wash from 4 – 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 4 at Dairy Queen 7155 State Road 70 E.

The car wash will cost $7.

MFK is an LRHS club that raises funds for the Shriners Childrens Wellness Center in Tampa, a care center that provides all their services and surgeries for free for disabled children and depend on donations to survive.

MFK president senior Erin Elizabeth Purcell said, “We are really excited, our fundraisers are very important to us and due to COVID-19 we couldn’t have any for the past year.”

Club adviser and LRHS reading teacher Terri McAllister said, “MFK is a fundraising club, doing nothing but collecting funds for the organization all year, so to start this late in the year with no prior funds ready has been very hard on us and we are hopeful this car wash goes well.”
